Walks in your neighborhood

Looking for some low-impact exercise in your area? To help you get started, we curated some great walks and hikes that anyone can enjoy. Here are some of our favorite walks around town.

Little Spokane River Natural Area

The trails in this reserve offer a good workout. If you love natural flora, check out this trail in the springtime. Native wildflowers line the trail providing a kaleidoscope of colors, especially in areas where it parallels the river. As an exciting feature, check out the petroglyphs on the nearby rocks.

Minnehaha Park

This historical green space is located on the northeast side of Spokane. Before becoming a park, the area was a mineral spring and later a brewery. Casual hikers can find their way up Beacon Hill on the park's trailheads.

High Drive Bluff Park

Did you know that there is a stunning park right along High Drive in Spokane’s South Hill? Every day, commuters drive by without knowing that there are nearby hiking trails that provide beautiful vistas of the region. After work, spend some time winding down and de-stressing on the casual trails through Ponderosa forests and bunchgrass meadows.

Centennial Trail Park

Washington State has some of the most beautiful state parks in the country, and Centennial Trail Park is no exception. This 40-mile trail is suitable for hikers and walkers of all ages and skill levels. Explore Ponderosa Pine forests, basalt canyons, and much more.
